Dean’s Pharmacy opened in 1968 and became one of the first Pharmasave stores in Ontario in 2001. In 2013, the pharmacy became Algonquin Pharmasave and was expanded to offer more specialized products and services, tailored to suit the needs of North Bay.  Although many things have changed in the last 40 years, Algonquin Pharmasave’s dedication to serving its customers and community with expertise and experience has remained at the heart of its business.

Today, the team at Algonquin Pharmasave includes 15 dedicated and experienced employees who are always ready to help you with thoughtful advice and superior customer service.

Brian Chute, Owner of Algonquin Pharmasave, is also one of the three Pharmacists on staff.

With 43 years of experience, Brian continues to work closely with clients and has in-depth, first-hand knowledge about his community’s needs.  Brian has always been passionate about ensuring his pharmacy offers specialized products and services to fulfill the unique needs of his clients.   Because of this, Algonquin Pharmasave has built a solid reputation for delivering superior customer service.



Kristie Chute, Pharmacist and Compounding Specialist at Algonquin Pharmasave

Kristie Chute, Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager, offers current and specialized expertise to the Algonquin Pharmasave team.  Her 10 years of experience as a Pharmacist includes specific training in a number of areas, particularly Compounding Medications.  Her role also includes consultation services with local long-term care and retirement residences.  Kristie is always looking for new ways to enhance the products and services offered at Algonquin Pharmasave to better serve you, their valued clients.
